Job Posting – Purchaser Steele Fire

Steele Fire Apparatus is seeking a full-time Purchaser with a background in Procurement, Supply-chain Management or Inventory Management. Responsible for ordering product, inventory management within Quickbooks, developing relationships with vendors and overseeing stock levels. This position reports to the General Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create, submit, and manage Purchase Orders
  • Maintain up to date, and accurate product information via Quickbooks
  • Track and follow-up on new product launches and back orders
  • Manage order confirmations and shipment notifications
  • Provide interdepartmental support on issues related to inventory and Purchase Orders
  • Improve on existing processes
  • Actively pursue industry knowledge through evaluation of competition and self-learning
  • Develop relationships with vendors through multiple departments

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply-chain Management or Inventory Management preferred
  • Experience in Quickbooks
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
  • Strong analytical, organizational and task management skills
  • Comfortable in negotiations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Creative, disciplined and eager approach
  • Knowledge of power tools a plus but not required
  • Occasional travel required

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year DOE
