Job Posting – Purchaser Steele Fire
Steele Fire Apparatus is seeking a full-time Purchaser with a background in Procurement, Supply-chain Management or Inventory Management. Responsible for ordering product, inventory management within Quickbooks, developing relationships with vendors and overseeing stock levels. This position reports to the General Manager. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Create, submit, and manage Purchase Orders
- Maintain up to date, and accurate product information via Quickbooks
- Track and follow-up on new product launches and back orders
- Manage order confirmations and shipment notifications
- Provide interdepartmental support on issues related to inventory and Purchase Orders
- Improve on existing processes
- Actively pursue industry knowledge through evaluation of competition and self-learning
- Develop relationships with vendors through multiple departments
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply-chain Management or Inventory Management preferred
- Experience in Quickbooks
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
- Strong analytical, organizational and task management skills
- Comfortable in negotiations
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
- Creative, disciplined and eager approach
- Knowledge of power tools a plus but not required
- Occasional travel required
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 to $40,000.00 /year DOE
