Tom Ashmore, president of the West Texas Archeological Society, will give a presentation of a 18-year archeological study of the Butterfield Trail through West Texas.
This study introduces his new methodology for following old wagon trails across West Texas using Google Earth, drones, and conducting traditional archaeological fieldwork to find the actual trail and lost stagecoach stations. Using these techniques he rediscovered five lost stagecoach stations along the trail from Fort Chadbourne to Fort Stockton.

This event will be hosted at the new location of the Fort Sam Military and Antique Vehicle Museum at 8347 Business Hwy 277 N.
