DCOH Welcomes New Executive Director
The Board of Directors of the Development Corporation of Haskell is pleased to announce the hiring of Laura Bowers as the new Executive Director.
“The board is happy to have Ms. Bowers working with the DCOH again,” said Board President Sammy Bitner. “We have found her to be the best candidate for the position.”
Born in Houston and raised in Haskell, Ms. Bowers is familiar with life and business in a small town. In 2014, Ms. Bowers graduated from Thomas Edison State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in General Management. In 2015, Ms. Bowers worked for the DCOH as an assistant to former Executive Director Wallace Emerson. More recently, she has been employed at her family’s business, Computer Solutions, in downtown Haskell.
“I am excited to be starting this new journey in Haskell,” said Ms. Bowers. “I look forward to helping my hometown continue to grow and improve.”
